On the back of a very successful shoot a few months earlier with Clermont Group owned business Hoan My in January 2019 I was commissioned to travel to Gold Coast, Australia to create stills for Clermont Group’s Australian branch of it's aviation business magniX which has developed a family of electric propulsion units (EPUs) for aerospace and defense.

The brief was to capture a portfolio of images showcasing a range of activities at magniX including engineers working on and testing the electric propulsion units, some profile and group shots and also to capture the culture of the workplace through both images of magniX employees in professional situations at the office but also playing sport before work and during a barbecue lunch.

Clermont Group creative director Mitchell provided me with a brief of the concepts that he wanted to capture and a mood board with image examples that he had in mind and he also joined me for the shoot.

We scouted the magniX office and factory the day before the shoot so as to plan out our shots and then we shot at the office for 2 days and on the final afternoon we took everyone down to a beach south of the city that we had visited on the scouting day to take a group shot of the group with the city buildings in the background.
